Photography Week

Hey, Dudes and Dudettes.

I've been looking forward to posting all week! I'm trying to wait a little bit in between to keep the blog interesting. If I posted EVERYDAY it might get monotone. So now I'm popping with stuff!

This week, I wanted to share some of my pictures! I got this great new camera app called "Instagram" (check it out in the iTunes store!). It allows you to take and edit photos, then share them with others who have (or don't have) the app. No, they're not as good as the ones you take with a professional camera, but my camera has to be in need of batteries and an SD card at the moment, so this works!

Oh, and let me just warn you, they look a bit better on the iPhone...

Welcome To My Blog.

Hello, Blogger world.

My name is Caress. I have a lot of random creative thoughts and have kept numerous journals over the years. I love to write. I love to take pictures. I love to express myself. I thought a blog would be the perfect place to do just that.

I really wanted to start my blog off in a poignant way, like one that people will recognize even if they haven't read it. Like "Call me Ishmael." (For the record, I've never read Moby Dick.)

The hardest part of doing anything is starting it. Or finishing it. Hopefully the "finishing" won't be a problem I run into anytime soon.

Since this is called "The Garbage Quilt," there's no specific topic I'm going to focus on. Kind of like garbage pizza. Yeah. Same idea.

So...I'm going to use this space to post poems, pictures, stories, and anything else you guys might want to see or hear. Feel free to give me feedback...I'm always looking for suggestions to keep this interesting.

Shout out to my friends Jamila, Natalie, Jenny, Tiran, and Quenton for helping me to decide on a title for the blog! Love you guys :)
